About The Green Door on Lake Avalon
More than a place to stay — a place designed to be felt.
The Green Door on Lake Avalon was created with a specific feeling in mind — one where the eyes could fully rest, the spirit could relax, and time could slow down enough to actually mean something. A place where people could reconnect, celebrate quietly, or simply breathe for a little while. From the moment you arrive, the space is meant to feel restorative.
It began as a personal vision and became something more. Since opening in 2020, The Green Door has welcomed couples reconnecting, women needing rest, quiet celebrations, reflective travelers, and people simply tired of sterile hotels and rushed experiences. If you've ever needed a place that felt like it was holding space for you — this is that place.
A hosted experience, with intention.
This is my home, and that matters. The Green Door is an owner-occupied property with a fully private guest suite and separate entrance — meaning you have complete privacy, while I'm nearby if anything is needed. The small details you'll find on arrival aren't accidents. They're there because I wanted your first few minutes here to feel like an exhale.
Elopements and ceremonies, officiated with care.
As a former Justice of the Peace, I retain the ability to solemnize marriages under Arkansas law — which means your ceremony, your setting, and your officiant can all be found in one quiet place on the lake. There's something meaningful about that. There is something meaningful about having your ceremony performed by someone who also prepared the space, arranged the details, and genuinely wants the day to feel like yours.
Whether you come to rest, reconnect, celebrate, or begin again — The Green Door was made for exactly that kind of visit.
Hosted with care on Lake Avalon, Bella Vista, Arkansas.
